Answer Garden is one of the quickest and most effective tools I have come across in a long time. I recently saw it used at a conference and in seconds the speaker had collected together the ideas and opinions of the 200+ people sitting in the audience. With Answer Garden you create a question, share the link to the question and then participants can add write in their answers. Answer Garden then takes those answers and turns them into a word cloud where all the most common answers and responses are all represented. An idea tool for brainstorming ideas or collecting together opinions in a matter of seconds. This would also be a great tool for language teachers. For example you can brainstorm vocabulary ( say for example all the words related to the kitchen) and students can work collaboratively and come up with as many words as they can think of.
There are some good security settings too which I do not included in this quick video but you can moderate posts before the enter the word cloud, you can turn off the question, produce a QR code from the answers, embed the answers etc. A very impressive tool. Another quick tool you might find useful is Teaching Technology Tools: The Power of Google Forms
